Nach dem Repertoire « Isn’t it Romantic » (erschienen auf BMC Records 2021) und « Ellington » (erschienen auf Enja Records 2024) spielen Aki Takase und Daniel Erdmann nun ihr drittes Duo-Repertoire mit dem Titel « Timeless ». Es handelt sich dabei hauptsächlich um neue Eigenkompositionen welche die beiden im Lauf der Zeit erarbeitet haben.Die Zeit ist der Rote Faden des Programms. Was ist Zeit, was ist Stille, wie dehnbar ist die Zeit, vielleicht können wir ja mit Hilfe der Musik in die Zukunft und in die Vergangenheit reisen? Die gemeinsame Arbeit ist für Aki Takase und Daniel Erdmann jedenfalls extrem wichtig, und so sind sie im stetigen Austausch und am ausprobieren neuer Kompositionen und Formate .Zu zweit arbeiten die beiden nun auch auf etwas grösseres hin, das « Timeless Orchestra », in dem verschiedene Generationen von MusikerInnen aufeinander treffen werden. Ein Projekt der Transmission: Erfahrungen sollen mit der jungen MusikerInnen – Generation geteilt werden, und der Projektion : wo geht es mit unserer Musik hin? Was passiert Jetzt und was kann die Zukunft bringen? Die lineare Zeitachse wird aufgehoben und wir wollen Gutes aus der Vergangenheit mit Zukunftsideen im Jetzt verbinden.
Das « Timeless »-Duo Programm ist die Vorbereitung darauf, und auf dem Weg werden oft Gäste bei den Duo-Konzerten dabei sein, es wird Workshops und Begegnungen geben.

Following their albums “Isn’t it Romantic” (released on BMC Records in 2021) and “Ellington” (released on Enja Records in 2024), Aki Takase and Daniel Erdmann now present their third duo album, titled “Timeless.” It consists mainly of new original compositions that the two have developed over time. Time is the central theme of the program. What is time? What is silence? How elastic is time? Perhaps, with the help of music, we can travel into the future and the past? In any case, collaborating is extremely important to Aki Takase and Daniel Erdmann, and so they are in constant dialogue and experimenting with new compositions and formats. As a duo, the two are now also working toward something larger: the “Timeless Orchestra,” in which different generations of musicians will come together. A project centered on “Transmission”—sharing experiences with the younger generation of musicians—and “Projection”: Where is our music headed? What is happening now, and what might the future bring? The linear timeline is suspended, and we aim to connect the best of the past with ideas for the future in the present.
The “Timeless” duo program serves as preparation for this, and along the way, guests will often join the duo’s concerts; there will be workshops and gatherings.
